Catbird NYC

Taking Catbird NYC from humble Brooklyn storefront to world-famous destination for ethically-made gold jewelry

The challenge

After being featured in magazines like Marie Claire and Vogue and receiving accolades from influencers around the globe, Catbird NYC turned to IM Digital to create a digital retail experience that could serve their rapidly growing worldwide customer base.

Catbird NYC needed a one-of-a-kind digital experience to accurately reflect their unique jewelry collection. They also desired a retail experience that could showcase the values and gutsiness of their original Brooklyn storefront.

Catbird NYC’s shopping experience had to be highly-customizable, giving customers the ability to choose products, delivery options, and how they wanted to make Catbird NYC products a part of their daily life. No cookie-cutter solutions for this dynamic, exciting jewelry brand.

Could Catbird NYC create a modern, one-of-a-kind digital experience that would allow them to scale and reach customers around the world while remaining true to their roots?

The solution

  • Replatform to Magento 2 Commerce
  • UX Strategy and Design
  • Custom Integrations
  • Adobe
  • Paypal
  • Klaviyo

IM Digital harnessed Magento Commerce’s highly-customizable platform to propel Catbird NYC into new markets, increase their “endless aisle” retail approach, and expand their ever-growing affiliate and marketing channels.

To ensure that Catbird NYC had complete control of their content so they could offer a user experience as unique as their products, IM Digital also created additional custom attributes, content types, and JS, including:

Stock Messaging System

Catbird NYC’s personalized stock messaging system informs customers which products are currently available, what’s in the WIP pipelines, and when they can expect their custom jewelry products to arrive.

“Hint” Sharing

Custom modules allow customers to share desired product links with others. IM Digital extended Magento’s native wishlist functionality to include multiple channels of engagement, making gifting easier than ever.

“How you wear it” Module

This Instagram integration allows customers to share their Catbird NYC experiences with the world. By extending the module into the PDP, IM Digital allows shopping based on others’ suggestions and styles. Extended product models and product recommendations aid customers in finding desired Catbird products based on previous shopping history and customer data insights.

The Results

  • 51% Increase in mobile transactions
  • 59% Increase in mobile revenue and conversions
