Their totally unique business model, driven by facilitating temporary, occasionally, single-day sales across online and physical channels presented nuanced challenges. Through a highly customized customer experience and Shopify-powered multi-channel commerce platform, 260 Sample Sale achieved truly parabolic, global sales growth.

Our Approach
Sample sales traditionally have relied on word-of-mouth and great locations. 260 Sample Sale needed to translate the excitement of waiting in line on Fifth Avenue for exclusive NYC designers on discount into a digital experience.
Rather than offering discounts to loyal members, we collaborated on designing an unprecedented loyalty program for shoppers by releasing exclusive sales and priority access to top shoppers. To support massive fluctuations in traffic and spikes across digital and physical sales channels, we deployed scalable headless architecture with real-time systems integration. As a result, online and offline limited-time sales catalyzed each other’s growth as part of one cohesive commerce platform for 260 Sample Sale.

Our Solution
We built a rich cross-channel presence on Shopify to support seamless shopping experiences capable of supporting high-demand online sales. We integrated Bloomreach Engagement CDP to unify customer data and create personalized experiences, revealing deep insights to customer behavior and delivering intuitive product recommendations under human direction.
Then we implemented Klaviyo to support personalized, cross-channel marketing automation to ensure customers were matched with the right sales and offers. Customers now receive targeted messaging, notifications, and on-site experiences tailored to their interests, budgets, and shopping preferences.
Finally, we launched a loyalty program completely unique to 260 Sample Sale with Yotpo centered entirely on access, exclusivity, and personalized perks. Rather than incentivizing customer retention with discounts, we award top shoppers with early entry to sales and coveted line passes that can be used offline and online, seamlessly. The strategy preserved the core identity of 260’s value proposition of exclusivity while driving higher engagement across all membership tiers.
