Our objective was to create an intelligent self-service portal giving individual brands a dedicated voice, and control of their voice on the DesignShop platform. Our Approach

Homeowners demand speed and variety when sourcing interior design materials. Participating brands face rising customer acquisition costs on traditional ad networks. Off-the-shelf AI solutions can’t offer the same flexibility and control a custom solution can. We designed Brand Agent to help brands guide DIY consumers through complex interior design decisions.

  • Rather than a single plain chatbot, brands like Sherman Williams and Kohler evolve their own AI agents that serve customers through highly intuitive experiences on the DesignShop platform.

  • Our custom solution hosted in Google Cloud provides the technical architecture capable of merging dynamic pricing data in real-time with unique parameters set by each brand.

Our Solution

DesignShop envisioned a self-service solution for brands. IM Digital led strategy user experience design, and technical integration of the Brand Agent operating system, end-to-end. Brand Agent pulls real-time inventory and pricing data directly from their catalogs while referencing secondary sources configured by brand managers.

A dedicated interface affords brand managers total human oversight over the AI infrastructure. Administrators can intuitively configure guidelines that influence their AI agent’s behavior. A secure sandbox environment is available for brands to experiment and test behavior before pushing updates publicly on DesignShop.

Brands analyze customer-agentic interactions through interactive dashboards that enable managers to take immediate action. This feedback loop ensures domain experts dictate exactly how their AI agents represent their brand and products.
