Our Challenge

Made Goods faced several challenges:

  • Website Performance Issues: The website suffered from slow loading times, affecting user experience and potentially hindering conversion rates.

  • Limited Search Functionality: Search features were not optimized for finding specific products or styles, leading to frustrated users and missed opportunities.

  • Unclear Customer Journey: The website lacked a clear and intuitive customer journey, resulting in high bounce rates and a low conversion rate.

Our Solution

To address Made Goods' challenges, IM Digital implemented a comprehensive digital strategy encompassing technical optimization, user experience enhancement, and conversion rate optimization. We began by conducting a thorough website performance audit and identified key areas for improvement, including slow loading times due to inefficient code and back-end integration. We optimized the website by implementing critical CSS, WebP image optimization, and streamlining the codebase. This resulted in significant improvements in page load speeds, positively impacting user experience and SEO performance.

We also updated and optimized Made Goods’ existing Sage X3 integration, shifting integration logic outside of the Magento storefront to improve performance and scalability. This ensured that back-end processes didn't hinder the website's front-end performance.

Recognizing the need for a more intuitive customer journey, we conducted a thorough UX audit and redesigned key areas of the website, simplifying navigation, enhancing search functionality, and improving product detail pages. To further optimize conversion rates, we mapped the customer journey to identify key drop-off points, implemented upselling strategies, and leveraged data-driven insights to enhance the checkout process. This multi-pronged approach aimed to create a seamless and engaging online experience for Made Goods' target audience of designers and boutique owners.
